There are two models in the Yperion IPL Range:

• The L600 Epilation Unit
• The L900 Epilation and Skin Rejuvenation Unit

Both units operate on a shot card system. During treatments each shot is deducted from the card. As a result there are no hidden extra costs with Depilex; the light applicator head (which has a finite life) is replaced free of charge throughout the life of your unit. Both units have simple to use touch pads controlling the light strength and impulse time related to the type of hair or treatment being undertaken.

IPL units used in Salons are regulated by the government and each salon must register under the Care Standards which apply. Depilex help with advice and training to register.

Treatments

The Principle - L600

Both units use Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) which is a concentrated pure white light filtered to remove ultra-violet and infra-red wavelengths. This intense light targets Melanin - the pigment in hair and, on contact, converts into heat which retards regrowth. Around 20 days after treatment the dead hair falls out. To treat all hair during its growth phase several sessions will be required resulting in progressive thinning of hair growth. Thereafter only more periodic maintenance sessions are required. Clients experience mild discomfort, at worst, during treatment.

The Principle - L900

In addition to the L600’s epilation treatments the L900 provides skin rejuvenation treatments. Using a separate handset which filters a different light range the L900 offers treatments covering:

• Vascular lesions (thread veins)
• Lines and wrinkles (Anti-ageing)
• Hyper pigmentation

Results are visible following the first treatment.
